Self-esteem
Ten statements about how you feel about yourself. The most widely used measure of overall self-esteem.
Your answers stay in this browser tab unless you choose to share them anonymously.
About this questionnaire
Created in 1965 by sociologist Morris Rosenberg, this scale measures overall self-worth: positive and negative feelings about yourself. It is still the most widely used self-esteem measure in the world.
Answer how much you agree with each statement as it applies to you generally.
Scoring: 0–3 points per statement, with five statements reversed, for a total of 0–30. Higher means higher self-esteem.
Before you start
For reflection, not diagnosis. This is a self-report questionnaire. It cannot diagnose any condition, and it is not a basis for hiring, admission or any other decision about a person.
Private by default. Everything runs in your browser. Your answers are not saved or sent anywhere unless you choose, before starting, to share them anonymously for site statistics.
Provided as is. A personal project, free and with no warranty. Not connected to any institution I work with.
