Four-letter personality type (OEJTS)
Thirty-two pairs of opposite descriptions. Choose the side that sounds more like you and see where you land on four spectra: energy, information, decisions and lifestyle. A free, open version of the familiar 16-type test.
Your answers stay in this browser tab unless you choose to share them anonymously.
About this questionnaire
This is the Open Extended Jungian Type Scales (OEJTS), a free, openly licensed questionnaire built on Carl Jung's ideas about psychological types. It does the same job as the popular four-letter tests: it places you on four spectra and gives a four-letter result such as INTP or ENFJ.
Each of the 32 questions shows two opposite descriptions. Pick the one that fits you better, and how strongly. There are no right answers, and the order of the two sides alternates.
About "64 personalities" tests. Some sites stretch the 16 types to 64 by adding two more letters, such as Assertive/Turbulent and a social-style letter. Those extra scales belong to commercial tests, so they cannot be reproduced here. The nearest research-based counterpart of "Turbulent" is Emotional stability on the Big Five page.
Scoring: each spectrum adds eight answers (1–5), so it runs from 8 to 40. The midpoint is 24. Which side of it you fall on gives your letter, and the distance from it shows how strong the preference is.
Before you start
For reflection, not diagnosis. This is a self-report questionnaire. It cannot diagnose any condition, and it is not a basis for hiring, admission or any other decision about a person.
Private by default. Everything runs in your browser. Your answers are not saved or sent anywhere unless you choose, before starting, to share them anonymously for site statistics.
Provided as is. A personal project, free and with no warranty. Not connected to any institution I work with.
