Relationships
Attachment style (ECR-R)
Thirty-six statements about how you feel in close relationships. You get your position on the two attachment dimensions, anxiety and avoidance, and the pattern you are closest to.
Your answers stay in this browser tab unless you choose to share them anonymously.
About this questionnaire
Attachment theory describes how we handle closeness, dependence and separation in close relationships. The ECR-R measures two dimensions: anxiety (worry about being loved and left) and avoidance (discomfort with closeness and depending on others).
Answer about how you generally experience relationships, not only what is happening in a current one. If you are not in a relationship, think about past ones or how you would expect to feel.
Scoring: each dimension is the average of 18 answers on a 1–7 scale, with some statements reversed.
Before you start
For reflection, not diagnosis. This is a self-report questionnaire. It cannot diagnose any condition, and it is not a basis for hiring, admission or any other decision about a person.
Private by default. Everything runs in your browser. Your answers are not saved or sent anywhere unless you choose, before starting, to share them anonymously for site statistics.
Provided as is. A personal project, free and with no warranty. Not connected to any institution I work with.
